A Very Special Birthday Gift For his wife Alice’s (Adriana Chechik) birthday, Thomas Rutherford (Tommy Pistol) prepares a romantic surprise for her in their loft. After reminding her how much he loves her, he suggests a little game and gives her a box containing two envelopes. In the first one, she discovers the rules of a scavenger hunt whose first stage will take her to New York for a three-night romantic getaway, without phones, so they can enjoy every moment together. Alice is deeply moved, as Thomas has grown increasingly distant over the past few years, too absorbed by his professional obligations. He admits that he has neglected their relationship and says he wants them to rediscover their former closeness. Thomas then asks Alice to close her eyes because another surprise awaits her right away. A woman and two men she does not know enter the room and begin kissing. Thomas explains that she only has to watch them. Initially unsettled, Alice gradually becomes captivated by the beauty and chemistry shared by the three strangers. The scene reminds her of the early days of her relationship with Thomas, before everyday life drove them apart. He makes it clear that he is not trying to solve their problems with this performance, but rather to awaken something they have lost. When Alice wakes up, she discovers that Thomas has left to attend a meeting, even though he had promised to travel with her. Jane (Kylie Rocket), the woman who took part in the previous evening’s performance, tells her that Thomas hired her to accompany Alice to New York until he can join them. She then gives her a new riddle left by Thomas, referring to a Fairy Queen, the nickname he once gave Alice. The two women formally introduce themselves before preparing to leave. During the flight, Alice catches Jane in a highly arousing situation with the passenger seated beside her (Chad Alva). Disturbed, she closes her eyes again and pretends to be asleep. Jane later returns calmly to her seat without showing the slightest embarrassment. Alice thus discovers a free-spirited, daring woman who is completely comfortable with her desires. In New York, Alice and Jane search for the answer to the riddle in a bookstore. Jane points out that Thomas seems to have gone to great lengths for his wife, but Alice replies that she would have preferred him to spend more time with her. She then tells Jane how they met during a performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Thomas had called her his “Fairy Queen” after assuring her that she was more beautiful than the character on stage. Thanks to this memory, Alice finds a copy of the play containing a message revealing their next destination: Miami. Jane then tells Alice that Thomas will not be coming to New York after all. He claims that he has some business to take care of, but promises to meet them in Miami the following day. Disappointed, Alice nevertheless agrees to spend the day with Jane. Jane suggests having dinner, getting a drink and enjoying the city. A silence filled with attraction settles between them, revealing that their relationship is gradually becoming more personal. After a joyful evening, Alice and Jane board an almost empty subway train. Alice admits that she has not had this much fun in a long time. Jane notices a man watching them and kisses Alice to provoke him. Although initially surprised, Alice returns the kiss. What was meant to be nothing more than a joke reveals a genuine attraction between the two women. A few stops later, a particularly noisy group enters the carriage and catches their attention. The only woman in the group (Lily Labeau) intends to entertain herself in an unusual way, without caring about the people watching her. On the contrary, their stares only heighten her excitement. The Vices of Miami The following morning, Alice once again wakes up alone and unsuccessfully tries to reach Thomas. Jane eventually returns with worrying news: he has allegedly been kidnapped. At first, Alice believes it is another stage of the game, but Jane assures her that the situation is real. The kidnappers reportedly threatened to kill Thomas if they contacted the police. They must therefore follow their instructions and continue their journey to Miami. Despite her doubts, Alice agrees so as not to put her husband in danger. During the flight, Alice sees Jane lead a passenger towards the restroom. Driven by curiosity, she discreetly follows them and watches through the partially open door. Jane eventually meets her gaze, creating a silent and unsettling exchange between the two women. In Miami, Jane receives new instructions: they must wait for a meeting on a boat after sunset. She leaves to take care of several security-related matters and asks Alice to remain at the hotel. However, she cannot guarantee that she will return before nightfall or that they are not in danger. Alice therefore finds herself alone in an unfamiliar city, with no news from her husband. She leaves her room to have a drink. In the elevator, she meets Harry, a charming and considerate man. When she steps out, she notices a stranger who seems to be watching her. Harry offers to let her use his room to call someone or compose herself. Alice declines but remembers his room number in case she needs help. Still worried, she eventually returns to her own room. Alice tries to contact Jane and Thomas, without success. She suddenly hears someone manipulating her door handle and rushes to lock it. Jane then calls to tell her that she may not return until the following morning and that the meeting concerning Thomas has been postponed. Alice explains that someone is trying to enter, but Jane assures her that she is safe before hanging up. When the handle starts moving again, Alice hides beneath the covers, terrified. Jane returns in the morning. Relieved, Alice rushes into her arms. Jane tells her that the meeting to recover Thomas will take place in an hour, then helps her get dressed and prepare to leave. Their closeness shows that Jane has now become much more than a simple guide to Alice. The two women arrive in front of a yacht without knowing who owns it. An elegant man named Ronny welcomes them aboard. Alice demands to know where her husband is. After giving an evasive answer, Ronny reveals that Thomas is allegedly being held in a villa in the Keys and offers to drop them off nearby. He also seems to know about every experience Alice has had since the beginning of the journey. Noticing the attraction between her and Jane, he asks how they would like to thank him for his help. Ronny leads Alice and Jane to the front of the boat, where his wife is waiting. He explains that what fascinates him most is the first time between two people, when desire is still mixed with fear and uncertainty. Alice asks Jane whether she truly wants to accept his proposal. Jane replies that they can give their hosts a performance they will not soon forget. A Midsummer Night’s Orgy After their encounter, Ronny draws a rough map showing them how to reach the villa. He confesses that their moment of intimacy reminded him of the early days of his own relationship with his wife. The yacht then takes Alice and Jane close to a vast estate. Two guards ask them for a password. Jane answers “Titania,” the name of the Fairy Queen in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. They are then given two masks and outfits that will allow them to enter the villa. Alice and Jane enter a candlelit room filled with masked guests. Alice fears that their unfamiliarity with this world will immediately be noticed. Jane advises her to behave as though they had been invited and reminds her that their goal is still to find Thomas. To divert attention, she kisses Alice. Several masked figures begin approaching them before the collective ritual takes a far more intimate turn, despite the number of participants in this orgy inspired by Alice’s favourite work. After the “ceremony,” Alice receives an envelope containing the word “Surprise.” Two hooded men then bring Thomas into the room and point a gun at his head. Alice is convinced that he is about to die, but the weapon turns out to be fake. Thomas bursts out laughing and tells her that everything was staged: his kidnapping, the threats and the journey were all part of her gift. Devastated by his cruelty, Alice accuses him of playing with her emotions when all she wanted was to spend time with him. Jane, who knew nothing about the deception, also defends her. Thomas downplays the situation and claims that he only wanted to give her an adventure. Alice then realises that their marriage is over. Despite her husband’s threats, she decides to leave him and walks out of the villa, followed by Jane. The two women leave together to begin a new life.

His workday must have been exhausting… like every other day, after all. This is how Cynthia decided to leave everything behind without telling anyone and to set off on an adventure with Gina. Unfortunately for them, their road trip will only last until they leave the city, when Gina’s car breaks down once again. Fortunately for them, Jack (Isiah Maxwell), the mechanic contacted by Gina, seems just as skilled at fixing cars as he is at taking care of them. This unfortunate breakdown will ultimately be the perfect opportunity for the two new friends to bring their budding relationship to life. From now on, they know they can always rely on each other to live the life they have both deserved for so long.
